Accomplishments

  • We all met to work on the project plan
  • We all discussed implementation details and goals
  • Rex and Dax worked on some DirectX demos for input (DirectInput) and graphics

Goals and Priorities

Short Term

  1. Finish project plan. Tim will turn in but everyone will work on it. (Rex, Dax, Tim and Chris - due Jan 31) (Tim turn in Jan 31)
  2. Start software requirements specification document. Chris will start with a basic outline. (Chris outline - due Jan 26) (Tim, Dax, Rex help finish - due Feb 6)
  3. Get very basic framework implemented. Rex and Dax have setup a project and began working on this. (Rex, Dax - due Jan 26)
  4. DirectX practice and framework ideas. Tim and Chris are getting familiar with DirectX (Tim, Chris - due Jan 26)

Long Term

  1. Create game engine code base (Rex, Dax, Tim and Chris - due Jan 26)
  2. Complete SRS document (Rex, Dax, Tim and Chris - due Feb 6)
  3. Flesh out ideas for Game Entities (Rex - due Feb 2)
  4. Work on Scoring Algorithms (Chris - due Feb 2)
  5. GUI design (Tim - due Feb 2)
  6. Special Effects work (Dax - due Feb 2)
